A Night at the Races
19th March

Tonight was a night of firsts! I went to my very first greyhound race at Owlerton Stadium for a surprise retirement party. The guest of honor was one of the drivers from work, "Mid-day" Malc. We all had a great time placing a few small bets, and the highlight of the night was Malc's sponsored dog. I bet just £1 on it, and it won! I walked away £3.80 richer, which felt like a huge win.

A Hit to the Wallet

14th April

Things are a bit tough right now. My car's MOT just came due, and it cost me a hefty £250 to get it through. That bill completely wiped out my bank account, and now I'm overdrawn. It's a frustrating situation, but hopefully, things will start to look up soon.

Hoping for a Full Week
3rd May

Some big changes are coming for our family. Our daughter, Harley, will be starting her new nursery soon, and Claire is handling all the arrangements tomorrow. On the work front, overtime has been scarce, which isn't helping our financial situation. I'm really hoping things improve. My goal for next week is to get a full seven-day work week to help us get back on our feet.
